DIANE ESTES, R.N., CPC, L.M.H.P.My special interests include women's issues, life transitions, depression, traumatic stress, and the relationships of love, spirituality, creativity, and holistic health to the healing process. I work with both women and men. When indicated, I offer play therapy to the children of my clients. When clients come to me upset and concerned, I search for the gold in each person. Building on these strengths, we work to discover a theme or event that they keep reenacting in their lives, ie., "Why am I always abandoned in my relationships?" The question might rephrased. "What is my relationship to myself?" "Do I abandon myself?" As a psychotherapist, it is my responsibility to make my office environment comfortable and secure enough so persons will come and feel like they might want to explore these questions. My professional experience includes: private practice as a psychotherapist; holistic/educational nursing consultant; Director of a home health agency. I have acquired specialized training in Feminist Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Stress Management, Biofeedback and Holistic Health. (Reiki 2nd Degree, Therapeutic Touch, Healing Touch Level III) I was fortunate to study with a pioneer in the field of family therapy at a walk-in camp near Reno, Nevada. My education includes Bachelor's degrees in secondary education and Nursing, and a Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling with a specializati6n in Gerontology. Workshops offered include: "Holistic Health, a Relationship with the Body" "Nurturing Touch for Couples" "Women's Wisdom, Friendships and Rituals"
