TIFFANIE (PETERSEN) THOMPSON, LCSW

Professional Interests:

Tiffanie is passionate about working with her clients from a holistic perspective integrating mind, body, spirit and emotion to promote optimal functioning, wellness and life satisfaction. She works with adolescents, women and men in individual therapy and also enjoys couple and group therapy. Her interests include helping people with depression, anxiety, relationship/marital conflicts, managing stress and developing a path for personal growth. She strives to guide those she works with to deepen their understanding of themselves and others to create a more meaningful life. She offers a number of psychoeducational workshops on varying topics to assist people with increasing their level of self-awareness and providing an opportunity for experiential learning. Education and Experience:

Tiffanie received her Master's degree in Social Work with an emphasis in children and family from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She has been practicing as a psychotherapist at Women's Therapy and Learning Center since 2005. Her eight years of experience working in the mental health field comes from a wide variety of local agencies including Community Alliance, The Center for Holistic Development, the Life Skills Support Center at Offutt AFB, and the Parents United program at Lutheran Family Services.

Continued Education:

Tiffanie has post graduate training in Expressive Arts Therapy, Jungian Psychology, and Feminist Psychodynamic Psychology. She has taught non-credit classes through Metropolitan Community College and is certified in the PREPARE/ENRICH couples inventory and skills training program. She has also completed level I reiki training.

Tiffanie is currently accepting referrals for individual and couple therapy and is available to conduct workshops for private groups or organizations upon request.
